Abercelyn Country House Description

Abercelyn Country House is an 18th century Grade II-listed former rectory set in award-winning landscaped mature gardens overlooking Bala Lake in the Snowdonia National Park. The bright spacious bedrooms are furnished with individual period pieces and all have en-suite luxury bathrooms (all have power-showers two have whirlpool baths). There is a relaxing drawing room with library and log fire for guests use. Excellent home-cooking (inc. special diets) with local produce and choice of breakfast with freshly baked bread free range eggs and home-made preserves. Situated in a peaceful location just a short stroll from the lake and close to the market town of Bala which provides a choice of pubs restaurants and shops. The local hills provide un-crowded walking in three mountain ranges and there are outstanding water-sports facilities with sailing on Bala Lake and the National Whitewater Centre nearby. There is a challenging golf course with lake views. Guided walking and canoeing is available (by arrangement) and also a library of walking guidebooks. Other outdoor activities can be arranged including whitewater rafting sailing climbing mountain biking 4x4 driving etc. Private parking locked storage for bicycles and drying room are provided. An ideal location for touring North Wales and Snowdonia.
