South Shields is an ideal base to use while visiting the North East - the A1 A19 and Tyne Tunnel are all just a few minutes drive away making County Durham Gateshead Newcastle North Shields Northumberland South Shields Sunderland and Tynemouth quick and easy to get to. Newcastle is twenty minutes away by car and train Gateshead is fifteen minutes away. South Shields is part of the frequent and rapid Tyne and Wear Metro (train) system linking Gateshead Newcastle North Shields South Shields Sunderland and Tynemouth. We are just a few minutes walk from South Shields Metro station South Shields bus station and the South Shields ferry terminal. Fluent in British Sign Language (BSL). All major debit and credit cards are accepted online by telephone and in person. Check-in from 3pm until 10pm. Arrivals after 10pm need to be arranged before day of arrival and are charged in line with staff wages per hour or part thereof (currently �6.50hour).Sorry we do not offer accommodation to pets or StagHen-type all maleall female bookings (maximum four people). The A194 is signposted just before you reach Gateshead and Newcastle (Northbound) on all major routes into the North East. Southbound take the 'A19' Tyne Tunnel and follow the 'A194' (Beach Road.)By Metro (train) from Sunderland Newcastle city centre and Newcastle airport: Take the South Shields (yellow) Metro line East to 'South Shields' stop. As you exit the station head east onto 'King Street' the main shopping area. At the end of the street there is a mini- roundabout.
