The Somerville is one of only two Five Star Gold Award establishments in town and is the most centrally located. (as at 21111) Please read our guest reviews. The Somerville is is only a five minute walk to Torquay harbour and beaches as well as to the town centre with their restaurants shops and bars. We are one of the few centrally located establishments with a large private car park. We offer our guests free parking for the duration of their stay which means that guests can leave their cars behind and explore on foot or else use the hotel as a base from which to explore further afield. We offer a full hour for breakfast during the week and extend this at the weekend to provide our guests with a relaxing start to each day. For guests on business we are happy to accommodate earlier breakfast requests by prior arrangement. We aim to provide attentive but unobtrusive service and Endeavour to be as flexible and responsive as possible. We are happy to arrange early or late check ins providing that this is done by prior arrangement. We are committed to the principles of sustainable tourism and aim to help the environment through energy conservation recycling and purchasing supplies from environmentally aware suppliers. We have wireless internet access which we offer free to our guests. The Somerville operates a strict no smoking policy inside the building. To secure bookings we take the first night's accommodation charge as a deposit. Payments made by debit card are subject to no additional charges. Credit cards are charged at £2.50 for payments up to £150 and £4.00 for payments over £150 to £300. For payments in excess of this we charge £6.00 . AMEX cards are subject to a 4% charge.
