Directions to The Hermitage Country House

Directions to The Hermitage from Fishbourne - On disembarking turn right out of terminal. Turn right at traffic lights and follow signs to Newport. At Newport keep to left on one-way system and take road signposted for Sandown. After nearly 2 miles take turning on right signposted Godshill. After 1.5 miles at Rookley fork right towards Chale and Niton. Stay on this road for nearly 3 miles until you see signpost for Hermitage. Turn right here and follow road to T-Junction. Turn left. At end of road turn right up 'Private' road. Continue uphill - road is bumpy - watch out for badgers at night - until road levels then take left fork and then left fork again into Hermitage grounds. Fork left through woods and garden up to house.Directions to The Hermitage from Yarmouth - At roundabout turn right over bridge towards Totland and Freshwater. After nearly 3 miles turn left to Freshwater (A3055). Stay on this road through Freshwater and along the coastal road for about 10 miles until you come to Chale. Turn left at Chale church on B3399 through Chale Green for about 3 miles until you come to the main crossroads. Turn right then after half a mile turn right at signpost marked Hermitage. Follow road to T junction. Turn left. At the end of the road turn right up 'private' road. Continue uphill - road is bumpy - watch out for badgers at night - until road levels then take left fork and then left fork again into Hermitage grounds. Fork left through woods and garden up to house. Directions to The Hermitage from East Cowes - When you come of the terminal go straight head across the mini round about and follow the A3021 towards A3054 going into Newport.
