Grampian House Description

A small friendly privately-owned guest house offering quality en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation. Situated in the quiet North Shore area of Blackpool just 50 metres from the Promenade and close to the Train and Bus stations. The North Pier Blackpool Tower and the Town Centre are all within a ten-minute walk. A free broadband internet connection (20Mb) is available either by a computer in the lounge or by WiFi from anywhere in the hotel. Designated smoking rooms are available. All rooms are centrally heated with en-suite bathroom (shower toilet and hand basin) colour television and complementary refreshment tray. Continental style breakfast is either included in the price or available for a supplement (see room notes for details) and is available between 9:00 and 11:00 am; traditional English or vegetarian breakfast is also available for an extra charge and is served between 9:00 and 9:30 am. Breakfast supplements are payable on arrival. Grampian House is ideally placed to get out and about and explore the area or further afield. On the promenade there is a frequent tram service to take you south to the famous Pleasure Beach or north to Bispham Cleveleys Fleetwood and the Freeport Shopping Village. From the nearby Blackpool North Railway station and Talbot Road Bus station there are frequent services to Preston Manchester Lancaster and the Lake District. Take a short walk into the town centre where you can visit Blackpool's major attractions such as famous Tower the Sealife Centre Louis Tussaud's Waxworks and the Winter Gardens or hop on the open-topped Sightseeing Tour bus to Blackpool Zoo the Model Village or Stanley Park. For evening entertainment there are plenty of restaurants pubs and bars within easy walking distance as are the Winter Gardens the Tower Ballroom and the Grand Theatre. The renowned Funny Girls show bar and Sanuk one of the largest night clubs in Blackpool are only a couple of minutes away.

Directions to Grampian House

BY CAR: From M55 Junction 4 take 3rd exit - A583 (Preston New Road). Follow the A 583 for 2 miles. At the end of the dual carriageway carry straight on along Park Road B5390 for 1.3 miles. At traffic lights at the end of Park Road bear left onto Church Street then turn IMMEDIATELY right onto Cookson Street. At the lights at the end of Cookson Street turn left into Talbot Road then turn IMMEDIATELY right onto Dickson Road. After 0.3 mile at the mini roundabout turn right into Pleasant Street. Grampian House is immediately on the left. BY TRAIN (Blackpool North Station): From the front entrance follow the road along the side of the station building past the rear entrance. Turn immediately right into High Street when you reach Pleasant Street at the end turn left. It is about a five-minute walk. If you prefer to take a taxi there is a taxi rank in front of the station. BY COACH (New Bonny Street):(1 mile 20 mins walk) At the end of New Bonny Street turn right onto the Promenade. Continue along the Promenade past the Tower the North Pier and behind the Metropole Hotel until you reach the Claremont and Carlton Hotels which are on the corners of Pleasant Street. Turn right into Pleasant Street. At the rear of the Claremont cross over Dickson Road and continue along Pleasant Street. Grampian House is immediately on the left.You can also take a tram or a number 1 bus from the Tower to Pleasant Street.
