Directions to Velvet Hotel
From the Airport: Exit the airport and take the M56 motorway. Keep in the right hand side lane and follow signs for Manchester City Centre. At the end of the M56 motorway the road turns into the A5103 Princess Parkway. Stay on this road and keep heading towards City Centre. Pass Asda on the left hand side and then at the end of the road roundabout take the 3rd exit up onto the A57 Mancunian Way which would be sign posted Stockport Sheffield. Exit the A57 at the A6 turn off but take the sharp left following the signs for University of Manchester (keep in right hand side lane). Go up to the traffic lights and go straight through onto Sackville Street. Follow Sackville Street cross over Canal Street and then turn first right onto Richmond Street. Velvet is located at the top of the street on the right hand side.From the South: Follow the M6 and exit at Junction 19 after Knutsford Services. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A556 headed towards Manchester Airport. At the end of the A556 roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the M56 heading towards Manchester Airport. At the end of the M56 motorway the road turns into the A5103 Princess Parkway. Stay on this road and keep heading towards City Centre. Exit the A57 at the A6 turn off but take the sharp left following the signs for University of Manchester (keep in right hand side lane). As you merge onto the M60 motorway keep heading towards signs for Liverpool M62. Exit the M60 for the M602 heading towards Manchester City Centre and Salford. Take the M602 to the end where it turns into the A57 heading Manchester City Centre Sheffield. Go up onto the A57 Mancunian Way which would be sign posted Stockport Sheffield. Exit the A57 at the A6 turn off but take the sharp left following the signs for University of Manchester (keep in right hand side lane). Go up to the traffic lights and go straight through onto Sackville Street. Follow Sackville Street cross over Canal Street and then turn first right onto Richmond Street. Velvet is located at the top of the street on the right hand side.From the East:From the M1 or Sheffield regions head for the A629 A616 or the A628. Take the Woodhead Pass and keep following the signs for Manchester. At the end of the Woodhead Pass follow the signs for Manchester City and enter the M67 heading towards the city. At the end of the M67 follow the signs for the A57 Manchester City Centre. Near the end of the A57 cross over the roundabout and follow signs for city keeping Esso Petrol Station and Tesco Express on your left hand side. At the next traffic lights go straight through. At the next traffic lights go straight through and pass under the Mancunian Way. At the next traffic lights turn left onto Whitworth Street. Go through the first traffic lights and pass Sackville Park on the right hand side. At the next traffic lights turn right into Sackville Street. Follow Sackville Street cross over Canal Street and then turn first right onto Richmond Street. Velvet is located at the top of the street on the right hand side.For guests driving to the hotel please note that Canal Street is pedestrians only and the rear entrance of the hotel on Richmond Street must be used.
